ER317L Stainless Steel TIG Rod

CWI GEN 317L TIG Rod is mainly used for welding base metals with similar chemical composition.  It is utilized in severely corrosive environments where pitting and crevice corrosion are of concern.  Low carbon content in GEN 317L filler metal reduces the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation; which in turn increases the resistance to intergranular corrosion.  

Features

• Low carbon content reduces the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation – increasing the resistance to intergranular corrosion
• Weld deposit similar to 316L with high molybdenum content for increased corrosion resistance
• Not suitable for structural service above 400°C (752°F) or for cyogenic applications
